FoodWasteNet offer two types of funding to support collaborative projects between academic researchers and industry-based members, as well as funding to support members developing applications for third party funding.
Business Interaction Vouchers
Up to £7,500 to encourage initial collaborations between industry and academia
Proof of Concept Funding
Up to £50 000 to help identify and scope commercial and scientific challenges.
Consortium Building Meeting Fund
Up to £1000 to support members to meet in person for the purposes of developing a funding application to a third party
Early Career Member Travel Award
FoodWasteNet welcomes early career researchers and encourages their participation in network activities by providing travel awards to support attendance at certain network events.
Public Engagement Fund
Up to £1000 is available to members who would like to reach out to the general public to promote the aims and themes of FoodWasteNet
FoodWasteNet Vacation Scholarships encourage and support undergraduate students (not final year) to carry out a research project, aligned to the FoodWasteNet aims and themes, of up to 8 weeks.
